  • ~2 Tbsp of sweet (e.g. brown sugar, molasses)
  • ~1-3 Tbsp of spicy (e.g. hot sauce)
  • Seasoning (warm, earthy + salt)

  • 3/4 cup sweet
  • 3/4 cup low-sodium umami (soy sauce, worcestershire, …)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp spice (chili paste, hot sauce, etc.)
  • 1 Tbsp acidity (e.g. rice wine vinegar)
  • Seasoning (warm, earthy, spicy)
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch (any thickening agent)
  • 1 Tbsp water (thickening agent activator)
